Frequently Asked Questions

When does RiverPay launch?

RiverPay Beta launches Q2 2026 (April–June) with limited merchant capacity. Full public launch Q3 2026. Join the waitlist to get early access.

Who can use RiverPay?

Australian businesses registered for GST or with an ACN/ABN. This includes sole traders, small businesses, e-commerce stores, SaaS platforms, marketplaces, nonprofits, and service providers.

How does this work technically?

You integrate our REST API or use our hosted checkout page. Customers' card data goes directly to our secure tokenization layer (PCI DSS Level 1). Your server never touches raw card data.

What about chargebacks and refunds?

Refunds are free and instant. Chargebacks are handled by our team β€” we'll help you gather evidence and manage disputes. Standard chargeback liability applies.

Can I process international payments?

Phase 1 is Australian domestic only. We'll add multi-currency and international acquiring in Phase 2 (late 2026). International customers can use AUD pricing.

How do I migrate from Stripe?

Our onboarding team handles migration. API is similar to Stripe's (minimal code changes), we provide sandbox testing, and we help you switch merchants at your pace.

Is my data safe?

Yes. We're PCI DSS Level 1 certified, data is encrypted at rest and in transit, stored in Australia with full backup/redundancy, and audited regularly by independent security firms.

What if I have questions?

Email hello@riverpay.com.au or compliance@riverpay.com.au. Our Australian team responds within 4 hours during business hours.
